Celebrate The Occasion - Shape Card Challenge

Challenge #79
Getting In Shape

My apple shape card will be used as invitations for my daughter's Snow White themed 4th birthday party. I cut the apple at 6" from Happily Ever After. To make it a card I cut the white "flipped" and glued the stems together. My tag is hand cut and computer generated. I used Dark Moss, Burnt Sienna and Chestnut ColorBox chalk inks to distress the tag. The twine is Close To My Heart. All the paper came from my scrap pile.

Pinterest Inpired Blog Hop

Welcome to our Pinterest Inspired Blog Hop
Are you addicted to Pinterest? Do you have several boards with pins that you said "I've got to try that!"? Well here is your inspiration to create those awesome projects you want to try but have not yet done so.

If you arrived here from Esther's Blog then you are in the right place. If not please start at the beginning with our fabulous hostess Ashley ( http://thebloghopprincess.blogspot.com)

Here is my Pinterest inspiration:
After browsing pinterest and party planning blogs my daughter and I decided she would have a Snow White themed 4th birthday party in October. When I saw this mirror I knew I was going to recreate it and have it be the focal point of my daughter's party too.
And here is my take on said inspiration:

These are the details of my project:
The lady I took my inspiration from obviously went ALL OUT so I took it down a notch. I went with this IKEA mirror, some Cricut vinyl and the Happily Ever After Cricut cartridge. This was a super simple project that took no time at all. I used a 12x24 mat and cut my image at 13.48".

I plan on replicating the cupcakes she had too, or at least getting the local bakery to do it! I'm sure I'll make a fun wrapper for it and take all the credit!

Thank you for stopping by to see what I've made that was inspired by Pinterest. Your next stop is Ashley's Blog to see what inspired her.

Pause Dream Enjoy - Music Challenge

Challenge #36
Music

For some reason when I sat down to figure out what I was going to make for this challenge Christmas kept popping into my head. So I went with it and created this vintage inspired card.

I cut the star from Art Philosophy and scored it with my Martha Stewart score board. The sentiment matting is also from AP.
I used a CTMH background stamp with Versa Mark and Stampendous antique gold embossing powder to created my music element on the star.

This weeks sponsor is:
the winner will receive
3 digital images

Celebrate The Occasion - Hey Honey

Challenge #78
Hey Honey - must use a bee

For my bee project I scrapped pictures of my kids playing at Pooh's house outside the Winnie The Pooh ride at Walt Diseny World.
I used Mickey Font cut at 1" for my title. You can't really see it here but each letter is outlined with glitter.
The bees (1") and tree (8.43") come from Pooh and Friends.
I hope you'll stop by Celebrate The Occasion to see what the other design team members created and join in our challenge!

Red Carpet Studio - Silent Layout Challenge

It's here!!! The first challenge of Red Carpet Studio is kicking of with a nod to silent movies. Our challenge to you this week is to create a LAYOUT without any words, letters, numbers, phrases, etc.

At first I thought this challenge was going to be really difficult but once I sat down to create my layout, and stopped thinking so much about it, it was really easy.

I used any everyday picture from three years ago. The paper and stickers are Echo Park - Little Girl. I used my Sew Stamper to create a boarder around the page. My buttons are from October Afternoon and the ribbon (which copies the ribbon on Kaitlyn's sweater) is by American Crafts.

SPONSOR: Close To My Heart Consultant Candice Fields - http://candicefields.ctmh.com/Default.aspx
PRIZE: La Belle Vie Kit (see photo below)

Be sure to head over to Red Carpet Studio to see what the other layout designers came up with and enter our challenge yourself!
